Innovative Promotional Gifts

Give potential customers innovative promotional gifts.

If you own a company or run a small business and are trying to attract or maintain your clients, then you may want to consider giving them a promotional gift. There are many uses for a promotional gift. You can give it to a customer to thank him for his purchase. You can give it to a donor for making a donation to your charity. You can use a promotional gift as an incentive for a potential client to sign up for your service or membership. Set your budget before you start shopping, and ensure that your gift has your company's logo and graphic on it.

Company Apparel

Company apparel that has special features---such as clothing made of sweat-resistant material---are excellent promotional gifts because you are giving customers or donors gifts they will wear and use. Offer a variety of sizes and at least three colors. Giving your clients and potential clients a choice of colors may get them excited about the apparel and make them more likely to buy from you to get the promotional gift. Possible apparel gifts include a long-sleeved T-shirt, a sweatshirt, a golf shirt or a track suit. Have your company name and logo printed on the items.

Donation in Client's Name

For every $25 or another set amount your client or potential client spends, you can donate a certain amount to a charity in the person's name. You can tweak this promotion to match the mission of your company or organization. For example, if you are a company that produces solar energy products, then perhaps you could plant a tree in the customer's name.

Customized Desk Calendars

Design desk calendars that offer inspiring photos related to the mission of your company and helpful tips for clients and customers. For example, if you head up a nonprofit that teachers farmers in Africa about agriculture, use photos of the farmers at work. This aims to motivate the donor by showing him how his money is being used in the field. Another idea is to include tips on the calendar. An example would be to provide environmental tips, such as this one: "Be a smart consumer. Avoid products that have excessive or wasteful packaging, and you'll be shaping how products are packaged in the future."
