Outgoing people may use their personality skills in a variety of jobs, such as sales.


Individuals with outgoing personalities may use their people skills effectively in certain areas of the job market, where others who are shy or introverted may face a more difficult time. Outgoing people may prefer to be in occupations where they are out front with people, rather than working alone in a back room or elsewhere, hidden from the general public. Numerous job options are available for outgoing people, regardless of their education or experience level.


Public Relations Specialist


A public relations specialist plays the role of an advocate for clients, with the primary task of helping to maintain a positive relationship between them and the public. Clients that hire public relation specialists are businesses, non-profit associations, universities, hospitals and other organizations. Public relations specialists may also have the duty of drafting press releases and speaking with the media. The Bureau of Labor Statistics project that the need for public relations specialists will grow 24 percent from 2008 to 2018.


Retail Salesperson


The primary task for a retail salesperson is to assist a customer in finding what he is looking for and selling it to him. It's common for a retail salesperson to complete the financial transaction, which involves operating a cash register, and bagging or packaging the purchased item. Retail salespersons may also be asked to demonstrate a product or describe its features. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a slight increase of 8 percent in the need for retail salespersons between 2008 and 2018.


Waiter or Waitress


Waiters and waitresses, also known as servers, have the responsibility to take customer's orders, serve food and beverages, prepare checks and accept payment. Depending on the establishment, some waiters and waitresses may be expected to be more personal and attentive with their service. Customer's tips are a major part of the waiter or waitresses earnings in many establishments; therefore, it's essential to keep the customers happy. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the need for waiters and waitresses will increase by 6 percent from 2008 to 2018.


School Teacher


A public or private school teacher plays an important role in shaping a child's intellectual and social development. Teachers use classroom presentations or individual instruction to assist students in learning and applying concepts in a variety of subjects, such as science and math. To be effective, the teacher must be able to properly communicate with the student, as well as inspire and motivate them. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 13 percent increase in the need for kindergarten, elementary, middle and secondary school teachers, from 2008 to 2018.
