Attend California Community College Online

California Community College Online Graduate

Attending a California community college online is easy and cheap. California community colleges have the lowest fees in the nation. In most cases, the experience is not 100% online, but you will save many hours from not commuting except for exams. In just a few steps, you can enroll and be in an online class.

Instructions

1. Go to the website for the California community college online and apply for admission. For almost everybody, admission is guaranteed. Be sure to pick one that is within driving distance, because in most cases you can't do everything online.

Some of the things you may not be able to do online include college orientation, placement tests, class orientation, midterms, and finals. If you cannot go onto campus regularly, you should look into private onlne colleges.

2. Take placement tests. These need to be done in person. Unless you already have a college degree, you have to take placement tests in English, math, and possibly other subjects as well.

3. Take college orientation. In most cases, this needs to be done in person as well. Students who already have a college degree or do not intend to complete a degree may be exempted from orientation. This is sometimes called "matriculation." Expect the California community college to pressure you to attend orientation or they may give you penalties such as a later registration date.

4. Enroll in online classes after the date/time of your registration date. The college will inform you of the registration date/time at the time of application for admissions or in email/postal mail. Registration is usually done online on the college's website or during orientation in a few cases.

5. Find instruction on logging into the online class. In most cases, you cannot log in until the first day of classes, so don't be concerned if you cannot log in early even though you're registered.

6. In some cases, attendance on campus of a class orientation is required. If you have to attend class orientation, you may be dropped from the class if you miss the class orientation. The date/time for the class orientation is usually listed in the college schedule.

7. Attend any required on campus orientation. This information is usually available in the college's class schedule.

8. Attend any exams on campus, if required. Most California community college online courses require some in-person attendance for exams.

9. If you cannot come to campus so many times, you may have to consider taking classes at a private college with online classes instead of at a California community college online course. You would be giving up the low price of community college, but you will save many hours from not having to drive to school several times.
