Biokleen
Biokleen offers both powdered and liquid laundry detergent as well as chlorine-free bleach. Both the powdered and liquid detergents are three times concentrated and are phosphate-free, chlorine-free, nontoxic and safe for the environment. All products completely rinse from the clothes, leaving no residue behind. The chlorine-free bleach has no harsh fumes and according to the company, is gentle enough for even babies' skin. Method laundry detergent is made from 95 percent natural and renewable ingredients. According to their website, their laundry products are biodegradable, nontoxic and skin-friendly. Method laundry detergent is highly concentrated and because of it's small packaging size uses 36 percent less plastic then traditional concentrated detergent containers. Method is recognized by the EPA for its safer chemistry. Method comes in a variety of scents like fresh air, peony blossom and lavender cedar. It is also available in scent-free and a sweet pea baby laundry formula.
Ecos
Ecos is a concentrated liquid laundry detergent that only requires 1 1/2 oz. to clean an entire load of laundry. Ecos comes in three scents; magnolia and lily, lemongrass and lavender and is also available in fragrance free. All are made of 100 percent natural anionic coconut kernel oil based surfactant, horsetail plant and purified water, according to the company. Ecos claims that its detergent has a neutral pH that rarely causes skin irritations, is nonpolluting, 100 percent biodegradable, nontoxic, natural, and is free of enzymes, phosphates, chlorine and petroleum-based ingredients. They also state that the ingredients are replenishable and sustainable and will not harm the clothes, the environment or septic systems.
