Become a Print Model


Want to learn become a Print Model. Print models work with photographers and pose for print ads, magazine, catalogs, billboards, etc.. There are different types of print models and different types of print modeling jobs including:


* High Fashion Print Models - High Fashion Print Models are the models you see in Fashion Magazines such as Vogue, wearing high fashion designer clothing and are doing high fashion poses. These models are also in major print ads, billboards, etc...


* Fashion Print Models - Fashion Print models are seen in print ads wearing fashion clothing.


Commercial Print Models - Commercial Print models can be found in ads advertising a product.


Catalog Print Models - Catalog Print Models can be found in catalogs such as JcPenney's modeling clothes, jackets, purses, etc...


Swimwear Print Models - Swimwear Print Models pose in swimsuits for such magazines as sports illustrated.


Maxim Style Print Models - Maxim Style models pose for men's magazines such as maxim.


Calendar and Poster Print Models - These print models pose for calendars and posters.


Instructions


1. WHAT TYPE OF PRINT MODEL ARE YOU?


Be Realistic about whether you can work as a print model and if so, what type of print model you are and what print modeling category?


2. FIND A PHOTOGRAPHER:


To work as a Print Model, you will need to find a few photographers. Check the quality of their work to see if the photographer has photographed models similar to what you're looking for. Choose a photographer that you are comfortable with and book a photo shoot to build a modeling portfolio. Try shooting photos for the type of model you are. If you are a fashion model, make sure you have a variety of fashion shots. If you are a commercial print model, make sure you have lots of photos showing you advertising products and showing your personality.


3. PRINT MODELS NEED COMP CARDS (COMPOSITE CARDS, ZED CARDS):


Now that you have some good photos, get a few comp cards made so that you can mail them to modeling agencies. Comp Cards are a print model's business card. Make sure you choose only your best images to use on your comp card, as it is sometimes the first impression that an agency or client will get of you in order to decide to work with you.


4. CONTACT MODELING AGENCIES TO BECOME A PRINT MODEL:

5. GET PRINT MODELING JOBS:


Once you are signed to a modeling agency that books print models for print modeling jobs, the agency will submit you for print modeling jobs.
