Create A Brochure On A Computer

You don't have to be a graphic designer to create a brochure on your computer. Software programs can do the graphic work for you, and you just add creativity and details. If you have Microsoft Office installed on your computer, use Microsoft Word to create your brochure. Another alternative is to use online brochure making programs.

Instructions

Microsoft Word

1. Open the Microsoft Word program on your computer. Click "File" from the top menu bar. Select "New."

2. Click the "Brochure" icon located underneath the "Publications" tab. Click "OK."

3. Click the brochure template you would like to use. If you don't see a template you like, download free templates from the Microsoft Office website.

4. Click the generic text on the brochure to edit. Replace the text with your own words. To add an image to the brochure, click "Insert" from the top menu bar. Select "Image." Double Click the picture on your computer's hard drive that you want to insert.

5. Click "File" and "Save As" to save your completed brochure. To print the brochure, click "File" and "Print."

Online Software

6. Visit a website that allows you to create brochures online. Sites that provide such services include My Brochure Maker, My Creative Shop and HP Creative Studio (Hewlett Packard).

7. Click the "Sign Up" option to create a new user account (if applicable).

8. Choose the brochure template you want to use.

9. Edit the brochure template. Customize the template by inserting your own text and images.

10. Click the "Save" option to save your brochure. Depending upon the site, you may have the option to print your brochure with your own printer or place an order to have a printed brochure shipped to your address.
