Legends In Concert

Legends is the longest running show in Las Vegas.


As of 2011, the live musical celebrity tribute show Legends in Concert has performed in front of more than 15 million people over the past 28 years. The show features musical impersonators sing like and resemble original artists, but also resemble them. Legends in Concert has its roots in the U.S., but has performed in 15 countries on five continents.


History


The first Legends in Concert performance took place in 1983 at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Performances continued at the Imperial Palace through February 2009 before moving to Harrah's Las Vegas. The show has earned several industry awards including "Show of the Year" in 2004, 2005 and 2007.


The Acts


Each show features singers impersonating Ann-Margaret, Aretha Franklin, Cher, Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow, Bette Midler, Bing Crosby, Michael Jackson, Elvis and more. It also features impersonators covering more modern stars, such as Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw and Gwen Stefani, along with musical groups such as the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Aerosmith and U2.


Venues


As of 2011, Legends in Concert was the longest running independently owned production show in both Las Vegas and Atlantic City. The show is contracted to long-running engagements in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Branson, Mo., and Seattle. Worldwide, the show has been performed in Australia, Canada, China, Russia and other countries in Africa and Europe. Additionally, Norwegian Cruise Line announced that Legends in Concert would be featured as entertainment on some of its cruise ships.


Partnership


Legends in Concert recently partnered with Elvis Presley Enterprises to host the preliminary round Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Las Vegas each year. Elvis is one of Legend's most popular acts, and he is also one of the most impersonated recording artists in the history of popular music.
