Get Meal Vouchers For Disneyland

Take advantage of Dineyland's Dining Plan when visiting the resort and theme parks.

Purchasing meal vouchers before leaving on your vacation to Disneyland will give you the comfort of knowing all of your meals are already paid for. Meal vouchers can be purchased as part of Disneyland's Dining Plan and guests are given credits for different types of meals that can be redeemed throughout their visit to the parks. Depending upon the types of meals you redeem your vouchers for, the dining plan cost ends up being a bit less than if the meal was purchased outright.

Instructions

Disneyland Dining Plan

1. Review the different meal plans available at Disneyland. Remember the Disney Dining Plan is not part of your initial vacation reservations to Disneyland, but can be purchased as an "Add On" option. You will want to research the different Dining Plan options available and compare it to your length of stay and family's dining needs. Dining plans are available in three-, four-, five- and six-day packages and include meal and snack vouchers for your entire stay. For example, the three-night plan will include one magic morning voucher, one character breakfast voucher, three snack vouchers, two cheap meal vouchers and one moderate meal voucher. The more days you purchase the more vouchers for each type of meal you will receive as part of your dining plan package.

2. Select the meal plan. When you know how many days you will be spending at the Disneyland Parks you will need to select the meal plan you want. You will want to make sure you purchase the dining plan according to the number of days you will be at the resort and parks. For example, if you are staying for four days, but only going to be visiting somewhere besides Disney on one of those days you might want to consider only purchasing the three-day plan. This way you are not purchasing a day of food when you will not be at Disney to enjoy the plan.

3. Purchase the meal plan. The meal plan can be added to your existing Disneyland Resort vacation prior to check-in by calling the Disney Reservations line. The reservation specialist will ask a few simple questions about your family's travel needs and dining plans to help you find the best possible package.

4. Check your reservation at check-in. When you check in for your Disneyland vacation you will want to confirm the dining plan was added to your reservation. You will also want to ask for a list giving you the number of each type of meal you have available during your stay. This way you can plan on where to eat each day of your vacation.

Outside Companies

5. Call outside travel companies. You can contact outside companies, such as ARES Travel or DW Tickets, for your meal voucher purchases. These companies offer discounted meal vouchers for individual meals at the Disneyland Parks and Disneyland Hotel. You will be able to purchase the vouchers ahead of time and be assured the price for your meal will not increase before your vacation.

6. Choose which voucher you want to purchase. Before making your meal voucher purchase from an outside travel company you will need to know which type of meal you will want. Each of the travel companies offer vouchers for quick service, casual service or formal dining options. For example, ARES offers The Disneyland Premium Character Dining, which is a voucher that lets you attend either Ariel's Disney Princess Celebration Lunch at Ariel's Grotto at Disney's California Adventure or at the Character buffet at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. The other meal voucher option offered by ARES is the Character or Family Table Service Dining, which gives you the choice of dining at many of the Disneyland restaurants. DW Tickets offers quick and casual meal vouchers that are good for either one lunch or one dinner.

7. Pay for your meal voucher. You will be able to pay for your meal voucher by giving the customer service representative at either company a credit card number or by purchasing them online. Most companies will then mail the vouchers to you, but some, like ARES, will have them waiting for you at Disneyland's guest services for no additional fee.
