Set Up Insurance Lead Website

Free up space in your desk drawers by transferring those paper-filled file folders into an electronic filing system. By contracting with an online website and e-mail marketing company, you can store, organize, and send regular marketing correspondence that brings leads into your office. Leads translate into sales, which translate into commissions and profitability. While you won't have to worry about the telemarketing laws, you will need to comply with Can-Spam laws. Choose a marketing system that controls your leads with permission-based options for your potential customers.

Instructions

Set Up an Insurance Lead Website

1. Contract with an online email marketing company. Set up an electronic folder for every period of time you want to send a correspondence. For example, auto insurance generally renews every six months, so set up six folders marked January/July, February/August, etc. Use a preset email template or design one of your own. Set the email to be sent about two months before renewal.

2. Use leads that you've purchased through a lead generation service. Include past clients that you may have lost to competitors and try to regain their business.

3. Set auto-reponders to send them reminder messages four and six weeks later. Respond promptly to consumers who contact you via email or voice mail. E-marketing expert Dr. Ralph Wilson suggests that you add a widget called addthis.com to your page. When the customer clicks on it, it automatically bookmarks your page for them. This is an easy way to get people to link back to your site.

4. Make notes in your regular files regarding clients who have requested not to be contacted again via email or whose email addresses have bounced back. The marketing program will delete them from your list automatically. Can-Spam laws require you to remove people from your list within 10 days if they request it.

5. Track your success. E-commerce specialist Mark Brownlow says electronic insurance lead systems work because they are data-driven. The service tracks your leads, but it is helpful to chart results so you can track your progress. Continually add to your lists. Ask for subscribers on your official company website and company blog.
