Finding corporate sponsorships can seem daunting, but it can be done. Once accomplished, it creates essentially a win-win situation for both you and the sponsor. Your business needs a large company for sponsorship funding and the company wants to get its brand and products to consumers.

1. Start small. Contact companies in your neighborhood and inquire about corporate sponsorships. It's best to find companies that are close to your location. It may be best to start with smaller companies because they may want to bring their product or service to different consumers. It can be easier to work with a local company first if this is your first attempt in finding corporate sponsorships.
2. Ask your co-workers or board members if they know any businesses that may provide a corporate sponsorship. If your board members have connections with business, you may find a sponsorship faster. Your colleagues may have access to companies that can provide large sponsorships.
3. Look for mid-size and large corporations that may be interested or specialize in your service. You can look for corporations in your area or outside of your community. Consider companies, such as grocery store chains, retail outlets and fashion and entertainment companies. Make a list of the corporations you are interested in and compile their contact information.
4. Contact the corporations and ask them about the possibility of acquiring sponsorships. It is important to form a relationship with corporations, so they know that you are persistent and are interested in their service. If one or more of the corporations is interested, send a formal proposal; provide an overview of your company and detail your need and what type of benefit the corporation might receive from getting involved. After you have sent the proposal, follow up with the corporation in a week.
5. Meet a representative from the corporation in person. If the corporation is interested, its representatives may want to meet with you further so you can discuss the terms of the sponsorship.
